The Norberta Philbrook Gallery & Practical Magic Art Supply will be opening their doors on Friday, July 6th.

The Norberta Philbrook Gallery and Practical Magic Art Supply will be opening their doors during Downtown Bentonville’s American Art and Music Festival taking place on July 6th & 7th, 2012.

Located on the northwest corner of the Square at 114 W. Central Avenue, the Norberta Philbrook Gallery will be hosting an Opening Reception on Friday, July 6th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.

The Norberta Philbrook Gallery is a fine art gallery, whose name was inspired by the watercolor “Norberta Philbrook Returned from the Farmer’s Market with Something for Everyone” by noted Arkansas artist and recipient of 2012 Governor's Arts Award for Lifetime Achievement Zeek Taylor.

The Norberta Philbrook Gallery will feature the work of Zeek Taylor in the company of works by artists of merit from the national, regional, and local art scene.

Fine artist Denise Ryan, is a cornerstone of the Norberta Philbrook Gallery opening. Denise Ryan’s numerous achievements include earning her Master’s in Fine Arts from Yale University, and enjoying teaching and directorial positions at Governor's School of the Arts at Trenton State College, Moore College of Art in Philadelphia and Stockton State College in Pomona, New Jersey. Denise Ryan’s Dutch still life inspired, surrealist landscapes have been awarded many times over and are sure to become an instantly identifiable and welcome fixture of the Downtown Bentonville arts community.

Joining Denise Ryan is a strong sampling of the best of the best of artists, who now call the Northwest Arkansas historic arts community, Eureka Springs their home, including the art of accomplished painter Barbara Kennedy and representative works from extremely well received figurative abstract artists Drew Gentle and Carol Saari.

The art of popular potter Karin Bodet Ford whose work graces the collections of Bill and Hillary Clinton along with contributions from dry brush watercolorist Nancy Baptiste and photographer Jeremy Mason McGraw founder of the Creative Energy Project and current winner of the Eureka Springs Twenty-Fifth Annual May Festival of the Arts poster competition will be exhibiting with three dimensional workings and art fusion furniture from the prolific mind of Robert Roman Norman winner of the previous year's Twenty-Fourth Annual Eureka Springs May Festival of the Arts Poster Design Competition.

The Norberta Philbrook Gallery is delighted to host the return of two of Downtown Bentonville’s favorite artists; Mark Rademacher whose fine pottery has been presented to visiting foreign dignitaries as official gifts and also collected by past presidents and who has been selected to produce the Governor's Arts Awards for 2009 and the Respy Awards.

Completing the Norberta Philbrooks opening find also the of the art of talented recognized figures in the local art scene Nathan Beatty and Tania Knudsen.

The combined result begins with cacophony of vivid colors then settles into a competition between hints of surrealism that refuse to be subtle and deliberately misplaced pockets of whimsy that refuse to be sophisticated. This prevents seriousness from sticking and people there seem to laugh a lot.

The Norberta Philbrook Gallery is home to Practical Magic Art Supply purveyor of fine art supplies for everyone.

The Norberta Philbrook Gallery should be found, followed, friended and liked in social media networks for the soonest scoops.
